Our story

Why Schmoozly exists

Most people don't stop learning a language because it's too hard. They stop because it never felt like talking. It felt like homework with a due date.

We built Schmoozly around one idea: the fastest way to get comfortable speaking a language is to actually speak it, with someone who's paying attention to you specifically. Not a rotating cast of teachers, not an app pretending to be a person.

We understand that language, for a lot of people, isn't a box to check off. It's a way back to family, to a home country or a new one, to a community they want to feel closer to. A real conversation partner makes that possible in a way no app can.

We're building Schmoozly to be the kind of place where you keep showing up. Not because you feel guilty if you don't, but because the conversation is actually worth having.
